DWR Seat

This seat was designed for Design Within Reach and intended to fit within the existing form language of the current DWR products.  The seat is intended as a portable object for public spaces such as museums, libraries, schools, etc …  However, the seat could easily be used in a home as an occasional chair, side table, nightstand, prop, or any other creative ideas.  The proportions and form lends itself to endless possibilities for uses outside of the intended use as a seat.  The fun playful form is unobtrusive and would blend naturally within many public spaces.  The lightweight and rigid object can easily be moved and repositioned within spaces by the public.  The form not only implies the intended use as a seat but it also implies the portability and freedom to reposition the seat within the space.
