Wall Mural

We were extremely lucky to be given the opportunity to design a wall mural for the University of Michigan Mott’s Children’s Hospital.  The wall mural was designed to bring joy and color into the stark, bland hallways of the cancer unit.  It is not uncommon for children and families to spend multiple months in the unit.  The design of the mural allows photos and tag lines of past and current patients to be mounted and incorporated into the mural.

The mural posed many challenges; specifically the size.  The wall the mural was placed on was over 133 feet long and the mural itself was almost 7 feet tall; the total size was was over 900 sq. feet.
